How bookmarks ready are you?

With the king of bookmarking respository site from Google announcing its end by the end of this August 2021, it will be a herculean task to migrate your hard earned (rather compiled) bookmarks to another application or site. What needs to be noted is that - you need an app or a website with so much storage capacity and features such that you can easily migrate to an app/ website that works exactly as Google bookmarks. Found yours?

Stay tuned while I figure out another site that can easily absorb all the hard earned tags and sites that I saved on Google bookmarks.

Is it the end to Expedia and its likes?

With Google now announcing its new travel apps that help you probably decide where you want to go and where you want to stay, dine etc. is it the end of the road to Expedia, Kayak and the likes? If Google really wants to make this a huge success, then it needs to integrate its mapping system, update its hotel lists (which also should include hotels in India, at least, to allow unmarried or one married and an unmarried person to stay without hassles), provide choices of cheap, but healthy eats, buying stuff and the likes.

If it does that then Travel Apps will be certainly a hit.

(Wait for updates, I might). Thanks.

Sex in my mind

Wanting to be with someone you care? Maybe not end up just in sex, for that you can easily go to a prostitute and have your sexual desires satisfied. But, what if you want to be with that woman / man for a few hours, without indulging in sex, or even some fondling around? Possible.

Read the article here

This Delhi based startup is doing just that. Freeing you up from the hassles of producing your ID documents when you enter as a couple, when you may really be not.

What are the possibilities?

1. You as a man, may be married dating an unmarried woman
2. You as a woman, may be married dating an unmarried man
3. Both of you are unmarried and would like to spend some time in each other's company
4. Both of you are married, yet would like to spend some time in each other's company

Now, the possibilities of 1, 2 and 4 can be possible only if you are certainly not satisfied with your present state in married life or you want to have some excitment in life. But that also applies for #3, the excitement part that is.

Coming to the obvious topic - sex. How many of you will actually not indulge in it? That is none of your business - you may say. But I feel 99.99% would indulge in it. And obviously, it is deemed that both the partners are sane while doing this.

What are your thoughts? You would want to ask me - well, it really depends - is what I would like to tell you.

Would you want to try it? Maybe.

Leave your thoughts in the comment below. Please remember - this is not a regular topic, therefore please discreetly voice in your thoughts.

Are you Socially Bookmarked?

I do not know if you belong to the era of those Internet geeks who used to religiously socially bookmark without really knowing the difference in bookmarking a website or / and a blog. There were Digg, Technorati, Reddit and many more such similar sites where you would actually deposit a link and a non-descript narration about what your website / blog did.

Technorati - I remember having dealt with my fellow American colleague and she would insist me to explain what the F@#@ Technorati was all about. I really never understood the value of that site. It's continually down, too. Seems like every time I attempt to do something, there's an error message, LOL.

And then Digg, a stupid website that boasted of so many links which otherwise should have been Googled out - come what may.

Then there was Furl, Lynx and God knows how many more such websites, each boasting of being the best.

I think now, no one bothers to link. Linking is so boring.

Here are some (really long) list of social bookmarking websites

Not sure if I'd like to use all that. What is your strategy today?

Sanebox - email filtering mechanism - is it really worthy of it?

Have you ever bothered about filtering your emails?

I think Gmail did a pretty good (maybe could have been better) job to filter emails and have them come up on my email list. In a way it filtered my emails. I could mark them as important and even star-mark it.

Here is something if you like -

SaneBox is essentially a massive filter, one that runs defense for your inbox. The service creates a separate folder in your email account. Email comes in, and SaneBox decides if it goes into the boo-boo bin, the folder, or if it stays in your inbox.

SaneBox is quite effective about cutting out email that you didn’t really want in the first place. It does lead to a much better email experience. The largest fear, I think, in using such a service, however, is that you might miss an important email.
